When adding links to library resources, you want to make sure these links are permanent and are accessible from off-campus. This information will help you create such links:
To access licensed resources from off-campus, the link must contain information that redirects the user through P.I.T.'s proxy server. To do this, place this proxy information in front of the permanent URL:
https://pit.idm.oclc.org/login?url=
The result will look like this:
https://pit.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://link.gale.com/apps/doc/A536243650/PPCJ?u=pl9014&sid=PPCJ&xid=56c3a77c

Session Basics
An instruction librarian from the P.I.T. Library conducts class sessions based on the research needs of your students. A successful session will:
Address a specific assignment at a point in the semester when your students are conducting research, increasing their motivation and learning
Include the faculty member, whose presence emphasizes the importance of the research instruction and enriches student learning
Be planned by the faculty member and the librarian together, in order best to suit the course content, the students' learning styles, and the tenor of the faculty member's instruction
Instruction librarians are also happy to visit your course to participate more informally in discussions about research.
The libraries' instruction program aligns with Information Literacy standards established by The Middle States Commission on Higher Education and The Association of College and Research Libraries.
Grammarly is a third-party, automated grammar, proofreading, and writing revision tool for academic writing. Grammarly is a learning tool that works one-on-one with a student to develop writing skills, reinforce proper revision habits, and prevent plagiarism.
Grammarly will not fix your writing for you; it is up to you to incorporate Grammarly's feedback and decide what suggestions are most appropriate.
Getting Started:
Note: If you already have a free account, you would need to log out and log in again at grammarly.com/enterprise/signin. The Pennsylvania Institute of technology provides free access to Grammarly Premium to all students and faculty members.
