About One Book, One PIT
Each year, PIT will share a book recommendation for the PIT community to read together. Recommendations will be reviewed by a committee including the Director of the Library. Throughout the term the book is announced, informal book discussions will be held. For the remainder of the Academic Year, the College will host events related to the topic or book chosen.
Students, faculty, staff, and all other college community members are invited to nominate books to be future One Book One PIT selections. We will endeavor to choose titles that are accessible to our entire community, in a variety of formats. We plan to choose titles that can be incorporated into curricular and extracurricular activities and represent diverse or unique perspectives.
We hope that our Community will find One Book One PIT to be a fun way to interact with each other. The goals of the program include:
